For tumor conditions or diabetes, the carbohydrate content of the food can be reduced without eliminating fiber. Flatulence is reduced by the fermentation of plant fibers.

Usage:

Allow your pet to gradually get used to the fiber. Start with ¼ to ½ teaspoon per meal. Gradually increase the amount over 1 to 2 weeks to the desired dosage. Divide the daily amount evenly over several meals. Replace 5% to a maximum of 10% of the usual food mass (weight) with fiber and reduce the amount of food by the amount of fiber you add. Dry food: Sprinkle the fiber over the wet kibble, moistening it slightly if necessary. Wet food or BARF: Mix the fiber into the meat. If the mixture is too dry, add some liquid. Make sure no water remains on top of the fiber. Too much liquid or a rapid transition can cause diarrhea; this will normalize once the intake is adjusted. After feeding the fiber, it is important that large breed dogs, in particular, rest and are not too active. Always provide plenty of fresh drinking water.

The fibers are ideal for temporary diets or short-term use. Long-term administration is possible, but should be supervised by a veterinarian.
