Lunderland rosehip meal is a unique blend of whole rosehips and extra rosehip peels. In this way, our product combines the benefits of the grains with a significantly increased vitamin C content compared to simple rosehip meal. Thanks to the particularly gentle cold process (down to -140° (!)) during grinding, the valuable ingredients are largely preserved. The seeds of the rosehip are particularly rich in galactolipids. Even after drying, the skin of the rosehip still contains an exceptional amount of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a highly effective antioxidant. Among other things, it counteracts the formation of free radicals and can thus strengthen the immune system in psychological or physical stressful situations. Vitamin C is involved in many metabolic processes and can enhance the effect of other supplements. It is essential for the synthesis of endogenous collagen. Since vitamin C is water-soluble, it is not stored and should be fed in times of increased need due to exceptional stress, even if dogs can synthesize at least some of the vitamin C themselves. Naturally bound vitamin C is generally more digestible and is much better absorbed by the body than synthetically produced ascorbic acid. Due to the extra share of rosehip peels, the vitamin C content of Lunderland rosehip meal is significantly higher than that of normal rosehip meal. The meal is easy to dose and can be absorbed through the moist feed without any problems.
