Vertargil green clay or green loam is 100% natural, unprocessed and has been used since ancient times. Clay is a living, intelligent substance whose action has never been imitated in the laboratory. Farmers have traditionally treated the ailments of their domestic animals and livestock with clay. Often it was thanks to wild animals that people discovered places with healing earth. It was noticed that wounded animals rolled in the mud in special places and then quickly recovered.
Green loam or green clay seems to be the most powerful and effective of the clays and is strongly cleansing. Green clay contains many minerals such as aluminum, iron, silicon, calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. Traces of hydrogen, titanium, chlorine, phosphorus, carbon, manganese and sulfur have been found in it.
Many veterinarians and naturopaths make grateful use of the many properties of clay:
Pour the desired amount of clay slowly into a bowl (non-metallic) containing an equal amount of water. Let this all settle for a while without stirring so that the clay can absorb the water well. Pour off the excess water and the paste is ready for use. It is advisable to use purified or spring water, because tap water usually contains chlorine, which can adversely affect the effect of the clay. The remaining clay can be stored, provided that it is not sealed and remains under a layer of water and in contact with light and air.
Apply the paste in a layer of 0.5 to 1 cm thickness directly onto the skin or affected area. You can keep this layer in place with gauze or plastic wrap. Remove the applied layer once or several times a day and apply a new layer. Note: leave any pieces of clay that have not yet dried, as the clay is still working there.
You can enhance the effect of Vertargil green clay for certain indications by adding tea tree oil in a quantity of 15 to 20 drops per kg of paste prepared.
In the deep south of France, clay layers have been formed over millions of years. The warm, sunny climate has stored a lot of solar energy in the clay. The clay is extracted, dried in the sun and finely vibrated and filtered using a special technique. Each batch is checked by a laboratory for the highest standards for ingredients to guarantee top quality!
