100% organic psyllium seeds, ground and without any additives

This fine flour is a pure natural product made from the outer shell of the seeds of the psyllium plantain family. Psyllium seeds contain a lot of mucilage and soluble fiber, which have a prebiotic effect in the intestine and promote healthy intestinal flora. Psyllium seeds work against diarrhea by absorbing excess fluid and improving the consistency of the stool. In case of constipation, the high content of crude fiber promotes digestion and makes the stool soft. The intestinal peristalsis is stimulated.

The psyllium husks also help with anal gland problems by firming or increasing the volume of the stool. Psyllium husks are also useful in the case of over-acidification, because they are alkaline and bind excess acids. Because they absorb a lot of fluid due to their strong swelling behaviour, they can cause constipation or in the worst case even lead to an intestinal blockage if too much is given when they are dry. Providing fluid for ingestion is recommended.

Nutritional recommendation :
Cats and dogs up to 1g psyllium husk per 5 kg body weight per day
Do not feed the psyllium seeds dry, but in plenty of water (mix psyllium seeds 1:20 with water) and let them swell for about 15 minutes. More water can be added if the stool is hard. Then mix it directly through the food. Flea seed pods can interfere with the absorption of medications. Our measuring spoon or 1 teaspoon contains approx. 1.5 g up to the first marking and approx. 3 g of psyllium powder smoothed to the top edge.
