Our Lunderland Sonnen Chlorella is grown in closed glass tube systems. This guarantees maximum purity , controlled use of nutrients and optimal exposure to sunlight.
Due to its special nutrient and mineral content, our Sonnen Chlorella is suitable for a wide range of applications.
One of the most striking properties of Chlorella (like Spirulina) is its strong odor neutralizing effect.
In animals that smell through the skin or from the mouth without a medical report, Spirulina/Chlorella can be a valuable alternative to commercially available chlorophyll pastes.

Chlorella also serves to provide minerals and vitamins . However, the iodine content is negligible , because chlorella, unlike seaweed, is a freshwater organism. Instead, it scores with its potassium and magnesium content . The iron it contains is easily bioavailable.
With regard to vitamins, the content of B vitamins ( B6 , B9 and especially folic acid and B12 in a readily bioavailable form ) should be emphasized.
Vitamin B12 plays an important role in blood formation , cell division (wound healing), methonine/homocysteine metabolism , nervous system function and DNA replication .
Vitamin B12 deficiency mainly affects older, chronically ill, pregnant/lactating and vegan fed animals. Folic acid is needed for example in inflammation of the small intestine .
Chlorella has a positive effect on the intestinal mucosa , the Β-1,3-glucans it contains can also strengthen the immune system .
The high content of carotenoids (β-carotene, lutein) and chlorophyll also supports skin functions (this stimulates skin pigmentation, which provides natural protection against the sun), and keeps vision healthy.

Please note that carotenoids can give the coat a reddish sheen.

Nutritional advice :
With regular use (8 - 12 weeks) we recommend for:

• cats and dogs up to 5 kg per day ¼ teaspoon (approx. 0.5 g)
• dogs from 5 kg - 20 kg per day ½ teaspoon (approx. 1 g)
• dogs from 20 - 40 kg daily 1 teaspoon (approximately 2 g)
• Dogs from 40 kg 2 teaspoons per day (approximately 4 g)
