The Green Ox Trias Omega

Trias Omega Dog & Cat is a tasty and healthy supplement to all animal food. It is a mixture of cold-pressed oils that are rich in the fatty acids omega 3, 6 and 9. Omega 3 and 6 are 'essential', which means that animals cannot produce these fatty acids themselves.

Essential fatty acids are involved in various important functions in the body. Animals can make two important substances from omega 3: EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). EPA is important for the heart, blood vessels and airways and for the communication between nerve cells. DHA has a major influence on the proper functioning of the brain, which mainly consists of fats with a high concentration of DHA. As a result, DHA from omega 3 influences the animal's behavior. Sufficient DHA ensures good concentration and better learning performance. Due to the presence of DHA in omega 3, this fatty acid is recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

It is important that the animal receives the various fatty acids in the right proportion. Linseed oil mainly contains omega 3, but also omega 6 and 9 fatty acids. Evening primrose oil and wheat germ oil are rich in omega 6 and olive oil in omega 9. Pumpkin seed oil contains omega 3, 6 and 9 and vitamin E oil works as an antioxidant and natural preservative.

How to use?

Cats and dogs up to 10 kilos: 1 teaspoon once a day through the food.
Dogs 10 to 25 kilos: 1/2 tablespoon through the food once a day.
Dogs 25 to 40 kilos: 1 tablespoon through the food once a day.
Dogs from 40 kilos: 1 tablespoon twice a day through the food.
