Hemp seed oil is the only vegetable oil that contains omega 3, omega 6 and gamma-linoleic acid (GLA) in the correct 3:1 ratio. In addition, it contains all essential amino acids, the building blocks for healthy body proteins and is rich in trace elements, vitamins E, C, B1, B2, B3 and B6, bio-active enzymes and powerful antioxidants.

Hemp oil is a high-quality plant source of alpha-linolenic acid. But it can also be given as a replacement or alternation for fish oil. While fish oils contain a high level of EPA and DHA, hemp oil is rich in alpha- but also gamma-linolenic acid (precursor of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids).

Due to its high content of these polyunsaturated fatty acids, it is very useful as a nutritional supplement for fresh meat diets. It is a perfect organic and vegetarian alternative to essential fatty acids. These are essential for the body's functions, but cannot be synthesized in the body and must therefore be supplied continuously through food.

Unlike other vegetable oils (such as flax or borage oil), hemp seed oil is high in omega 3 + 6 fatty acids and naturally contains a lot of vitamin E, which serves as a natural antioxidant and therefore greatly enhances the stability of the oil.

Furthermore, hemp is a modest and robust crop that requires little help from fertilizers, pesticides, etc. A simple filtering of the oil is therefore sufficient, refining is not necessary to rid the oil of harmful substances.

In addition to the need for essential fatty acids and feeding hemp oil for its content of alpha and gamma linolenic acid, prostaglandin E1 and stearic acid, this oil also has an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect.
